About Sammy Adebiyi

*My Story.
Hi. My name is Sammy, and I was born and raised in Nigeria.
Although I didn't have lions and giraffes in my backyard or run around in my underwear like most people assume, I did have a pet monkey in high school and I always wanted to be a spandex wearing superhero.
My life took a big turn when my mom, uninspired by my desire to wear tights and save the world came home with a plane ticket to the US that had my name on it.

*MY GIRLS.
13 years ago I moved to Toledo Ohio where I eventually met and married my best friend Ashley.
Believe it or not, I knew I was going to marry her the first time I set my eyes on her.
If you're wondering how I landed such a babe, I pretty much prayed a lot and grew dreads (a deadly combo for anyone hoping to marry out of their league).
Ashley and I are proud parents of two beautiful daughters who are not allowed to date until they are 35.
Bebe, our athletic 15 year old diva, grew up in Haiti. We adopted her in 2010 and two years later, we had baby Eden who has the coolest hair in the world and already knows how to say “Bieber” at just 13 months. In other news, I have no idea how I’ll ever say no to her.

*MY GIGS.
In the last 5 years I’ve toured with Toby Mac, Sanctus Real, Tenth Avenue North, Mandisa, Brandon Heath, Laura Story, Chris August, Jamie Grace, Britt Nicole, Hawk Nelson, Addison Road and others.
You know what the best part about that list is? I don't belong anywhere on it because believe it or not, I'm just a regular guy. Or to put it a different way, I'm just Your Friendly Neighborhood Nigerian.
When I’m not spending time with my girls, pastoring or touring, I love to write, play soccer and drive over stuff with my jeep.

*MY BLOG.
“It’s like the spiritual reverse of sour patch kids, nice, sweet and funny up front and then you go, wait, crap, I just learned something important and now I have to respond... Dang! (all while laughing)" -Brina H
Well, there you have it folks. Couldn’t have said it better. Hope you like spiritual sour patch kids :-).
