Fail.

Few years ago I had an idea to launch a national movement of students committed to being a voice for the voiceless. It was called 35students. We had a website and shirts.

The website was never renewed and I still have a bin of shirts in my basement.

Last year I spent 40 minutes casting a compelling vision to students for why our ministry needed to move its meeting space into a bar. The idea failed miserably and we were back within a month. It felt like going from dating to engaged back to dating again...

A little while later, we tried moving on campus. It was probably the worst meeting we’ve ever had. Our stint on campus lasted all but one week.

I’ve planned several events that were way under-attended, preached numerous sermons that insanely bombed and shared crazy dreams that never saw the light of day.

But its okay.

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
-Theodore Roosevelt

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
- Michael Jordan
