#FinishMyPost (4/5): What happens on Facebook when you die.

Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
How crazy is that? When you die, nothing will change on Facebook.
Initially? maybe your death will create a tiny ripple. If you have a lot of friends, maybe your wall will be filled with a few hundred comments sending their condolences. But big picture, nothing changes.
Everything stays the same.
Poking. Friend requests. Cheesy pictures. Annoying "share this if you really love Jesus" status updates.
Yup. The machine just keeps chugging away. Believe it or not, people will post about music, cats and politics hours or sometimes minutes after posting about someone dying.
You know, It's amazing how fast the world moves on after we die.
It's not just the Facebook world either. Same thing happens in the sports world. Believe it or not, sports center will still air it's top 10 plays after you die and some stupid video will go viral online.
It doesn't seem fair.
Maybe it's just me but does anyone else feel like Kobe should hold off on that spectacular dunk when you die? And maybe Facebook should shutdown temporarily also? And what about the earth not spinning for a little while? is that too much to ask?
Yes it is. No one is that big.
No life can stop time in history. Everybody moves on. Well, everybody except our loved ones. Our annoying relatives. Our over-protective mom. Our insensitive husband. Our bratty kids.
They can't seem to move on like everyone else.
Isn't it ironic that the people (family) who frustrate us the most end up being the ones who are hit the hardest when we die?
And isn't it interesting that the people we spend our whole lives trying to impress end up moving on so quickly?
I guess what I'm trying to say is.....
(Yup, that's as far as I got with this post).
So, how would you #FinishMyPost? or other thoughts? What stood out to you?
(CONTEXT: Writing comes fairly easy for me but sometimes I have to sentence a post to my "stuck folder" where they never see the light of day b/c I couldn't finish them no matter how hard or long I tried. So, I was thinking, how about I parole those posts this week & give you guys a chance to #FinishMyPost? As in I'll handle the takeoff but you land the plane. Cool? Alright, lets go!)
