How much does God weigh?

For much of my childhood, I pictured Gods greatness in terms of weight. When I was 4, God was the only person stronger than my dad so in my mind God was someone slightly fatter and buffer than dad.

When I was 5, I realized God was MUCH larger than dad. He was like Andre the giant with super powers.

At age 6, God put on some major LB’s. Figured he’s gotta be bigger than Andre the giant because he created Andre the giant. He must be as big as a truck. Yes that's it. God’s like a giant truck size superhero in the sky...

At about age 7 everything changed. God was growing fast and gaining a lot of weight. He was now bigger than our house. He was like the kid from ‘Honey I blew up the kid’ except invisible and he could fly.

Age 10 was when God had the biggest growth spurt of my childhood. I remember trying to comprehend the truth that ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’.

Really? Like he’s holding the world in the palm of his hands? Come on. My mind can’t comprehend anything larger than the universe but God holds it? What? How big IS God?

Fast forward 20 years and I’m still asking the same question... how much does God weigh?

Nothing fascinates me more than the greatness of God because it seems like the more I lean in, the more my view of God expands and the more everything changes.

How much does God weigh is a never-ending journey into the unfathomable greatness of God.

Its the cry of Moses in Exodus 33:18 “Now show me your glory”

To which God said “...you cannot see my face for no one may see me and live”

Translation: If I showed you how big I am, you’d LITERALLY kill over and die.

Imagine that. God is so gloriously HUGE, if we saw ALL of him, we’d die.

Can I please repeat that?

God is so gloriously HUGE that if he just showed up in his fullness, you’d die. Not because he’d kill you but because you’re too fragile for such majesty.

His weight would crush us.

Absolutely mind blowing.

So how much does God weigh?

I’m still trying to find out. It’ll take eternity.
This blog is my small way of sharing that journey. Hope you’ll tag along, not as viewers, but as active participants because there’s an expression of Gods greatness that can only be seen, heard or experienced through your eyes.

Crazy but true, which is why I seriously can’t wait to read responses to this question.
