March M-estrogen.

I love to spit truth on here but I also love me some fun times so here goes.

Ladies, it’s that time of the month again. No, not that one. The other one. March Madness. You know how this works.

Your husband spends hours and hours watching sports center because he needs the “research” to win his office pool of $5 and although he doesn’t know how to spell “Xavier”, he’s become a big fan.

Yes ladies, I know, if he asks you one more time to pick between 'the team in the green shorts' and 'the team with the dog mascot' , you’ll throw a shoe at the TV.

I feel your pain ladies. It’s gonna be a long week but fear not, I have a solution. How about a March madness for women? The goal? Pick the greatest chick flick of all time.

Oh boy (or girl rather) I’m so excited. Imagine the possibilities.


Go ahead ladies, watch him cringe as you ask him to pick between “Twilight” and “Pride and Prejudice”

I know it sounds crazy but I think this could be a blast. Right now all I need you to do is help me complete our starting list. We need a starting list of 32 chick flicks.

I’ve picked the first 20 based on the highest grossing/most popular romantic movies. Today you guys help me pick the next 7 in today’s comments. Then I'll select 5 under-dog chick flicks.

After we get our list of 32, March M-estrogen begins. We pitch chick flicks against each other. You vote. 

We keep eliminating chick flicks until we have our finals and crown a champion. I'll also be giving away a gift card to anyone who rightly predicts the winner. Details to come. 

I understand if this ends up being lame. I hope it doesn't. But if there’s not enough excitement for it, I’ll nix it and the men will be officially declared the winners of the battle of the sexes forever.

No. So please, join me. This will be fun I promise. And men, this is for you too. No shame in playing. I know plenty of women who dominate basketball picks in March madness so it’s all good. Plus I love me some chick flicks and maybe, maybe, I've cried at a couple on the list below :)
