Silly rabbit, Jesus does not smile.

I’m not sure what I googled but I gotta tell you, I stopped short in my cyber-tracks when I saw that picture [to the left].

To be honest, it kind of freaked me out a little bit.

Maybe it’s just me but I have a hard time picturing Jesus doing what he is doing in that picture...

Smiling. Having a good time. Laughing.

Shouldn’t Jesus have a halo over his head?

Shouldn’t Jesus have that aloof, meditative “I’m-thinking-about-heavenly-things" super-spiritual glazed look on his face?

Isn’t Jesus supposed to be always intense and serious? Or mad at how crappy the world is?
Or in the very least grumpy (in a righteous way) from having to deal with all those nitwits?

I mean, what kind of a good time could he be possibly having that’s making him smile so much?

So weird.

But yet so irresistible.

So I downloaded the picture and its been sitting on my desktop all week. It’s titled Jesus smiles.

Every time I get on my computer, I steer at it and chuckle.

Jesus is smiling. Having a good time.

Bwahahaha.

I love this picture. I’m seriously grinning ear to ear right now just looking at it.

My wife just walked in the kitchen and asked what was so funny.

'Babe, Jesus is smiling.' 'He’s having a great time.'

She thinks I’m weird.

Does anyone else find this fascinating or did I just inhale too much laughing gas at the dentist last week?

Anyone else have a hard time trading in the (pre-Maria) ‘Captain Von Trapp’ image of Jesus for one that actually knows how to have a good time?

[If I lost you with that reference, you need to get cultured. Go rent 'the sound of music' this weekend. Its 4 hours long but you won't regret it. Nazi's and Julie Andrews singing. Doesn't get any better than that]

For todays dialogue, I want us to do something unique.

I want you to caption this picture. No more than 10 words.

Use your imagination, creativity or just pull something out of nowhere. There are no rules.

Just tell me why Jesus might be smiling/laughing and having such a good time in this picture...

Ready? Go.

Caption the above picture in 10 words or less.
